Samsung Says India Could Be Biggest Market

Manufacturer Samsung Electronics believes India will become its biggest market shortly.

The company is now planning to increase the capacity of its manufacturing facility in India, according to Business Review India. Currently India is the #3 market after USA and China for the Korean company but by 2015, the company expects this ranking to change.

Last year, the company had said that it expects the Indian market to contribute to 3 per cent of its revenues in 2010. According to Hindustan Times, Ravinder Zutshi, deputy managing director, Samsung India Electronics, said, "India is a huge market but has a minor share in global revenue collections for Samsung."

Samsung has been investing millions in its Noida manufacturing unit for home appliances. With the help of Google's Android OS, Samsung has risen fast in India's fast paced mobile handset market.
