Noida-based Solvy Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, which runs hyperlocal marketplace Zopper, has appointed Abhishek Aditya as head of operations.

Aditya was earlier senior director of logistics at Delhivery. Prior to that, he was director of logistics at Flipkart. He has also worked with Nokia/Microsoft Devices, Motorola and PepsiCo in different capacities.

He is an alumnus of IIM-Calcutta.

Recently, Zopper appointed Ambrish Sinha, who was earlier head of third-party distribution at Reliance Life Insurance, as its sales head. In September, Zopper had hired Harneet Singh Rajpal from Domino's India as its chief business officer.

In June this year, Zopper raised $20 million (Rs 127 crore) in its second round of funding from existing investors Tiger Global Management and Nirvana Venture Advisors.

Prior to that, the company had raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding from Nirvana, former Canaan India managing director Rahul Khanna (who had invested in personal capacity and now runs a separate venture debt firm) and a few other undisclosed individual investors in June 2013. Blume Ventures had also participated in that round. Before that, Zopper had secured an undisclosed amount in funding from Blume Ventures and VenturEast Partners in June 2012.

Zopper was founded in 2011 by Surjendu Kulia and Neeraj Jain, and connects users to offline retailers through its app. It was earlier called Reviews24, but rebranded itself to Zopper last year.
