Mumbai-based Sony Pictures Network (SPN) India has appointed Raj Mohan Srinivasan as the chief information officer for its network.

With hands-on experience in providing cognitive, big data and analytics solutions on enterprise technology platforms, Mohan is the winner of the Malcolm Baldrige Award in 1993, authored articles on artificial intelligence for publications and has two patents in the knowledge management domain.

“Raj will be a key contributor to the company’s technology and information technology (IT) strategy. I am confident that his varied work experience will be instrumental in shaping the business roadmap for the network,” NP Singh, managing director and CEO, Sony Pictures Network India, said.

He was previously the executive vice president (corporate) at Quess Corp, where he was responsible for corporate digital and business transformation for the enterprise across verticals.

With over 30 years of global experience across organisations such as IBM and Oracle, including an entrepreneurial venture, his expertise lies in business and IT strategy, leading business transformation, strategic execution with a deep market focus and financial acumen.

Srinivasan has advised clients across industries in their business strategies, market and product positioning, while defining the roadmap for their digital businesses, multimedia and IT platforms.

He holds a postgraduate degree in operations research and computer applications from NIT Trichy and has been certified as a global transformation consultant by Booz Allen and Boston Consulting Group. He is also a certified corporate director from the Institute of Directors, India.

SPN is a subsidiary of Sony Corporation and operates the Sony Entertainment network of television channels.
