Samsung launches new products in its Bespoke home appliances lineup

Electronics company Samsung has added new products to its customisable home appliances lineup. The announcement was made ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 which will be held between January 5 and 8 in Las Vegas. Some of the products added to Samsung's Bespoke line of home appliances include the Bespoke AI Oven and a wider selection of Bespoke refrigerator types. 

“At CES 2023, we are continuing to build on the success of our Bespoke lineup with the introduction of new Bespoke refrigerators and built-in appliances that give consumers even more ways to express themselves in their kitchens,” said Junhwa Lee, EVP, and head of the customer experience team of the digital appliances business at Samsung Electronics. Lee further added that these products will enhance users’ freedom and productivity in their kitchens. “With the latest kitchen innovations and customisable designs, these new appliances work seamlessly with SmartThings services to provide unmatched convenience and savings at home,” he said.

The new Bespoke 4-Door Flex™ Refrigerator with Family Hub™+ has a  32-inch, bezel-less FHD screen that is almost two times larger than the previous models. The new larger dashboard allows users to conveniently experience SmartThings services for monitoring and controlling smart home appliances. 

This new product from Samsung features the latest Family Hub software. Some of its features include — 190 free channels on Samsung TV Plus (along with a new picture-in-picture (PIP) feature) and the option to integrate Google Photos for easy photo display and sharing.  

The Bespoke 4-Door Flex™ Refrigerator with Family Hub™+ will be launched in North America and Korea in the first half of 2023. The Family Hub software will be rolled out in all the markets (like Korea, the US, East and West Asia, Latin America, and Europe) where Family Hub™ refrigerators are sold in 2023.

The next offering from Samsung is the Bespoke Side-by-Side refrigerator featuring a flat and minimalist design with customisable front panel in glass and stainless-steel finishes. It also has an Auto Open Door design for a streamlined design and easy opening through a tap that releases the door. The refrigerator also features new storage and cooling technologies like the Beverage Center and the Dual Auto Ice Maker. 

The third offering in the new refrigerator line is the Bespoke Top-Mounted Freezer Refrigerator with features like Optimal Fresh Zone+ and Active Fresh Filter to keep food fresh for long. 

Both Side-by-Side Refrigerator and Top-Mounted Freezer Refrigerator come with SmartThings Energy’s AI Energy Mode for added energy savings. As per Samsung, this mode optimises compressor speed and frequency of the defrost cycle based on users’ usage patterns.

The Bespoke Side-by-Side Refrigerator will be available in the US in the first quarter of 2023, and the Top-Mounted Freezer Refrigerator will be available first in Thailand in March 2023. 

AI Oven 

The new Bespoke AI™ Oven comes with AI Pro Cooking that optimises cooking settings and monitors food. The oven recommends temperature and cooking time; the AI Pro cooking system will also send food warning notifications to prevent burning. The oven features Sense Inside which is the first food recognition and burn detection AI algorithm to receive an AI cooking appliance verification by UL Solutions.

The Bespoke AI Oven integrates with SmartThings Cooking and Samsung Health to analyse users’ workout stats and diet goals to recommend meal options. It is currently available in Europe and will launch in North America in the third quarter of 2023.
