HCLTech extends partnership with Xerox in AI and digital engineering
Indian IT services firm HCL Technologies on Tuesday announced an expansion of its long-standing partnership with Xerox, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI)-driven engineering services and digital process operations (DPO).
Xerox and HCLTech began their partnership way back in 2009 with a focus on product engineering and IT and process support services.
In a regulatory filing, it said that HCL Tech will assist Xerox with its Reinvention, which is the fundamental and structural redesign of Xerox to position the company for long-term profitable and sustainable growth. HCL Tech will leverage automation, product and sustenance engineering and process operations services—including Order to Cash, Sales and Marketing Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement—along with its advanced full-stack GenAI platform, HCL Tech AI Force, to deliver a unified interface that transforms the way employees and clients engage with Xerox.
“HCLTech will leverage automation, product and sustenance engineering, and process operations services—including order-to-cash, sales and marketing operations, supply chain, and procurement—along with its advanced full-stack GenAI platform, HCLTech AI Force, to deliver a unified interface that transforms the way employees and clients engage with Xerox,” said the company in a statement.
Further, the IT giant said that it will support the newly formed Xerox Global Business Services organisation (GBS) to drive key business metrics, such as working capital, device connectivity, sales efficiency, and the effectiveness of remote problem-solving.
The work will allow the GBS organisation to integrate innovative capabilities, further advancing the company’s digital transformation roadmap, the company added.
“As we continue our reinvention, we aim to drive enterprise-wide efficiency by centralising processes, platforms, and capabilities. By extending our agreement with HCLTech and leveraging its expertise, Xerox will become more agile while continuously improving employee and client experiences,” said Louie Pastor, executive vice president, chief transformation and administrative officer, Xerox.
Earlier in August, the Indian IT services firm's arm HCLSoftware announced a 100% stake in France-based software firm Zeenea SAS at a valuation of 24 million euros (around ₹220 crore or $26.2 million), to expand its data and analytics business offerings to help its global clients in their digital transformation journey.
In July, HCLTech posted a 20.46 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹4,257 crore for the June quarter compared with ₹3,534 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter grew 6.7% Y-o-Y at ₹28,057 crore. On a sequential basis, revenue growth was down 1.6%, as per the company’s report.
