VVDN, Qualcomm partner to develop AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 access points designs

VVDN Technologies, a global provider of Software, Product Engineering and Electronics Manufacturing services and Solution, has announced a collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to launch its AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 Access Point Reference Design. The design is based on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing NPro A7 Platform and is aimed at customizable deployments.
The reference design includes a tri-band gateway and a dual-band extender. These solutions are optimised to manage network traffic, reduce latency, and improve performance across multiple devices. The design is intended for enterprise and consumer applications, supporting smart homes, businesses, and public spaces, the company said.
The collaboration aligns with India's evolving digital infrastructure needs, offering network efficiency and scalability. The design integrates Qualcomm’s Networking AI Engine, which enhances Wi-Fi connectivity and network optimisation. The AI-powered system dynamically adapts to varying usage patterns to ensure seamless connectivity.

The new Wi-Fi 7 Access Points will be ready for mass manufacturing by March 2025 and will be showcased at MWC Barcelona 2025.
Puneet Agarwal, CEO, VVDN Technologies, said, "The new innovative AI based Wi-Fi 7 Access Point not only sets new benchmarks in performance but also maintains cost-effectiveness comparable to Wi-Fi 6, ensuring wider accessibility without compromising on quality."
Savi Soin, SVP & President, Qualcomm India said, "These AI-powered Wi-Fi 7 Access Point Reference Designs are designed to enhance network efficiency while ensuring affordability for businesses, OEMs, and service providers."
