NetworkPlay Undergoes Restructuring; New Division

Ad network NetworkPlay Media has launched a separate performance marketing division on the back of restructuring within the company.

Operations of the company have been consolidated under Viren Anand, Co-Founder and Director of Operations of NetworkPlay. Sunil Punjabi, co-founder of Networkplay and previously vice president of publishing business has been elected Chief Revenue Officer of the company.

The new division set up, NetworkPlay Results, led by Jignesh Desai, Business Head – Results, will focus on the CRC and CPL segments. Desai was previously assistant vice president of sales at Network Play. "Having been part of the performance team at Yahoo, we understand the space well and know exactly how we will deliver value to clients across board," said Desai.

This is the first time Networkplay is entering into the performance marketing segment and the company has separated a team of 5 delivery experts and 4 sales people for the new division.

Audience engagement for online, mobile and DTH clientele will be headed by Hitesh Trehan in a team called Impact. He was previously associate vice president sales. Networkplay also plans to foray into publishing and is launching a website site at ad:tech, which is being held in New Delhi. Networkplay and DMG Events have teamed up to run ad:tech.

The company's CEO and MD is Rammohan Sundaram, Founder, NetworkPlay. "With the segmentation in our business, we are crystal clear on how we would be catering to different needs of the market in both brand solutions and performance metrics and with able leaders in Hitesh and Jignesh, we are all set,"  said Punjabi.

Recently, another ad network Tyroo Media Pvt Ltd announced it is stepping up focus on interactive, rich media ads in a bid to enhance its revenues. Vdopia Inc, which runs iVdopia, a video advertising network, recently claimed that it registers $500,000 in profits every quarter. Another competitor Komli garnered $15 million in funding in January. Jivox, IDG Ventures-backed Ozone Media Solutions Pvt Ltd, Networkplay, IndiAds and AdsForIndians are other ad networks in India.
