ZipDial Raises Rs 3.5Cr From Mumbai Angels

ZipDial Mobile Solutions Pvt Ltd, a Bangalore-based mobile startup, has raised Rs 3.5 crore from angel investors.

This is Zipdial's first round of funding and was led by Mumbai Angels and participated by US-based angel investors. Valerie Rozycki, founder and CEO, confirmed the fund raising and said that the company would use the funds to expand within India and to hire more people.

Zipdial will be present in S.E.Asian countries soon, Rozycki said.

ZipDial is a mobile platform for marketing and customer relationships management and also offers a SMS-free verification service. It was founded in 2010 by Valerie Rozycki, Amiya Pathak, an ex-director of digital gaming company Zapak.com (now part of Reliance Entertainment), and ex-mChek CEO Sanjay Swamy. The company has customers such as KFC, Pepsi and Sanofi-Aventis, as well as small and medium businesses like NGOs and event management companies.
