Western Digital (WD) has added a high definition (HD) video service and a casual gaming portal to WD TV Live Hub media players in partnership with Vimeo, a video sharing website and PlayJam, an interactive casual games network, respectively.
Both the services are available on WD TV Live Hub media player that comes with a price tag of Rs 11,990 in India. The WD TV media players currently offer content from Blockbuster, Facebook, YouTube, Deezer and TuneIn Radio, among others.
The Vimeo service will allow users to access a catalog of thousands of high quality videos and films from content creators, filmmakers and channels that are designed for specific video topics like comedy, experimental, films, music, science and tech, sports and web series. The player also allows users to log in to their Vimeo accounts and access the video content that they have uploaded directly to the Vimeo service.
The player will also feature the PlayJam games portal that offers titles like Darts, Pick and Nick, Out Patients, Blackjack and Video Poker, among others. Games are already offered on the player through the Funspot application.
