Three-year-old start-up En Route Media, which puts up smart screens inside radio taxis, has partnered with deal website Buzzr to bring the deals directly to passengers inside EasyCabs, through a digital entertainment network, called Flo.
Flo is a Tablet-like device embedded in cabs, spread across more than 250 EasyCabs plying in Mumbai.
Buzzr is powered by BuzzrPlatform, an aggregator of deal content in India. The website provides deals and offers in Mumbai among other cities. Buzzr will provide deals on travel, restaurants, and various other things to reach out to its audience.
It has created videos that display the deals, along with a call message at the end revealing the deal's ID to avail the coupon. To generate impact, Buzzr has also used a voice over encouraging passengers to check the space for more interesting deals.
The partnership will help Buzzr to take their deals to a wider audience (whoever boarding the cab).
Kunal Jain, founder, Buzzr said, "Having already set up our deals network in the online and mobile network space, we were looking for a media partner to translate our deals into an offline space, that could provide us focused interactions with urban spenders out of their homes and Flo fit the bill perfectly."
According to Paul Schwarz, co-founder, En Route Media, "With Flo installed in around 250 EasyCabs already, we would work very hard to provide the best possible entertainment and information for EasyCabs passengers."
