Geodesic Ltd, a products and solutions provider for content, communication, collaboration and electronic computing has announced its partnership with Omnesys Technologies (P) Ltd, a provider of multi-asset trading software and systems to deliver Indian business TV channels which include CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, ET Now, UTV Bloomberg and NDTV Profit to stock market traders in India.

"Our partnership with Omnesys created another opportunity to innovate, thus integrating our Mundu TV product with the NEST Trader Plus platform. The 5 business news channels deliver the live news context for trading to the trader without having to get out of the trading environment," said Sanjay Sarkar, president - financial solutions, Geodesic.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Geodesic's products include Mundu Radio, Mundu TV, Mundu IM and SMS, BBeep, Spokn, Continuum and Spyder. The company has also launched e-governance solutions using GeoAmida (a handheld terminal used largely for financial inclusion, public distribution systems, NREGA and law enforcement) and it offers its solutions across smartphones, Tablets and desktop PCs.

Under the partnership, Geodesic's Mundu TV (a live internet television service) will be integrated with Omnesys's trading platform 'NEST Plus'. Mundu TV is a content delivery service that aggregates and delivers live and archived television, premium, prime-time video programming and movies from content owners and providers alike. NEST Plus is basically the premium version of the company's trading platform NEST, albeit with a number of additional features. The platform provides market data and connectivity solutions to both buy-side and sell-side firms and is available either as a broker hosted solution or a Software as a Service (SaaS).

Shrikant Pandit, managing director, Omnesys said, "Stock market traders who trade on news and company related information need access to TV news during trading. They also listen to TV commentaries and make their decisions. We have now integrated Mundu TV with the Omnesys trading terminal, so that the trader can listen to their channel of choice on their trading desk itself and then trade."

Omnesys products are used by institutions, exchanges, brokers, traders and prop trading desks. The company is headquartered in Bangalore and it also has offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mangalore.
