InterGlobe Technologies (IGT), an integrated IT and BPO services provider catering to the travel and hospitality industry, has expanded its back office support to boost the hospitality services of Australia's online travel agency Webjet. IGT and Webjet have been associated since 2007 and the former has been providing contact centre services to Webjet customers in Australia and New Zealand.

IGT is part of the Indian travel group InterGlobe Enterprises Ltd, with interests in aviation, technology and hospitality. The company provides customer support, systems development and consultancy services, and also caters to global distribution system (GDS) providers and travel wholesalers with presence in the Australian market.

Webjet is the largest OTA in this region and enables customers to search, compare and book domestic and international flights, travel insurance, car hire and hotel accommodation.

InterGlobe CEO Vipul Doshi said, "We have been associated with Webjet for over four years now. We are delighted to take this alliance a step further by supporting Webjet's customer experience in the hospitality domain."

According to IGT, Australian organisations are turning to travel outsourcing to expand their global reach. Business Monitor International also states that the Australian travel and tourism market is expected to increase to $36.40 billion in 2012 and to $45.64 billion by 2015, which essentially spells a business boost for IGT.

"We are looking forward to a long-term relationship with IGT to help service our customers. This partnership will not only strengthen our product development capability but will also expand our customisation and integration services," said Shelley Beasley, COO of Webjet.
