After launching its mobile app for smartphones, online travel agency Cleartrip has come up with its iPhone app and announced the launch on its official blogpost. Cleartrip brings its split-screen search experience (already available on desktops and smartphones) to the all-new app to widen its reach.
Unlike traditional searches, the new app will help you search for flights and check the ticket pricing – all on one page and at the same time. The iPhone app also sports features like 'geolocation' for selecting the airport for departure from your current location, recently searched airports and the ability to easily swap the 'from' and 'to' cities with a tap. Also, one would be able to see recent searches, so that these can be accessed again with just a touch.
The app also allows customers to access their previous flight bookings with Cleartrip, regardless of whether those were booked through the website or via Cleartrip Mobile.
Attention to detail prompted the creation of small placeholders for selected flights, so that shortlisted flights are not missed while scrolling to check more options. Sort options can be used to re-order the results to check the cheapest, the fastest or the earliest flight. Additionally, there are filters that help narrow down the search by sorting results by specific airlines, flight timings or even non-stop flights, a company statement said.
Once you select a flight, payment can be made using credit/debit cards or through net banking. One can also pay by signing in to his/her Cleartrip account. Payment can also be made via Expressway, which was launched in March this year. Interestingly, it is a one-click booking facility for both online and mobile booking. This allows customers to store their credit, debit and payment card details in their Cleartrip accounts, so that bookings will happen fast. The cards selected on Cleartrip's desktop site are also available on this app.
