Chennai-based online social learning network Classle Knowledge Pvt Ltd has raised Rs 2.76 crore (approx. $0.5 million) from Chennai Angels, according to The Hindu Business Line.

Classle was set up in 2009 by Vaidya Nathan, an alumnus of IIT-Madras and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with an aim to offer free services to students pursuing higher education, thus enhancing their academic achievements and professional expertise. Classle's online platform has been developed using open-source technologies, where students and learners interact with their peers, teachers, professors and professionals. The modules, features and content can be accessed online, offline and on mobile platforms. Once a student registers online, he/she can access the study materials, attend live online classes, ask questions and consult experts.

Chennai Angels is a network of angel investors comprising Lakshmi Narayanan (Cognizant), Gopal Srinivasan (TVS Capital), Prabhakar Ram (NextGen), Rajeev Mecheri (Mecheri Capital) and Sameer Mehta (Atlas).
