Paytm.com, which currently enables one to pay prepaid mobile phone bills online, DTH and data card recharge, postpaid bill payment, NH-8 toll-card recharge and bus ticket booking, has added a feature to its site which enables users to file their income tax return online.
The company has partnered with New Delhi-based ClearSharp Technology Pvt Ltd, which provides a platform ClearTax.in to process the payment.
The feature is currently free. A user needs to key in his/her email id in the column provided in the Paytm platform. He/she will receive a password. As soon as the user logs in with the password, it will take him/her to another page where he/she needs to enter personal information, income sources, deductions, etc. One can also upload his/her Form 16. The user can file tax returns for multiple users.
