My Magazine: developed through a partnership with Flipboard, it provides a personalised news, social media, entertainment and content experience in a modern magazine-style layout.
Multi Window: allows users to toggle between applications without closing the window or opening a new page. Consumers can also run one application in two windows at the same time. For example, users can read news in one browser while conducting a web search in another, or send an instant message through ChatON to a friend while reading a message from another friend.
Drag and Drop: can drag and drop content such as a text or image from one window to the other, within the new Multi Window.
Samsung Knox & Find My Mobile: Note 3 also comes with enhanced privacy and security protection by Samsung Knox, which allows them to run and store security-sensitive applications and data inside a protected environment called 'container'. The container is protected against malware and phishing attacks, as well as hacking attempts on physical devices when devices are stolen or lost.
In addition to remotely tracking or erasing the data from lost or stolen mobile phones, an improved Find My Mobile feature also allows users to disable the phone, preventing stolen mobile phones from being reset to factory settings.
New S Pen
The new S Pen comes with an Air Command feature (activated by a click of the S Pen button while hovering over the screen), which provides access to a number of functions that include-
Action Memo: allows users to handwrite a note and convert the handwritten information into formatted content. Action Memo can also initiate a call, look up an address on a map, search the web, save a task to a to-do list, etc.
Scrapbook: enables users to organise or track down content and information from various sources including the web, YouTube and the phablet's gallery in one place. When users save content for future use, Scrapbook also collects the source material or URLs, allowing them to refer back to the original source.
Screen Write: captures the full screen image of the current page on the device and allows users to write comments or additional information onto the captured image.
S Finder: allows users to search for content on their device regardless of its type. By putting in keywords or filters such as date, location, and content type, users can search related documents, events, communication threads, all in one place. In addition, users can also search for hand-written content in their Notes and memo applications, as well as symbols and formulas.
Pen Window: apart from using the S Pen for drawing sketches and writing notes, users can now also open small application windows, without pausing current activity on the screen.
