Online travel reviews and recommendation site TripAdvisor claims to be the most popular travel planning site in India. The site had launched its 'TripAdvisor Business Listings' for Indian property owners of both hotels and restaurants in April last year and the company claims that the service has also been well received by hotels in the country.
In an exclusive chat with Techcircle.in, Nikhil Ganju, country manager, TripAdvisor India, mentioned that the site has been seeing great traction and is in fact one of the top 3 travel sites in the country (when it doesn't even offer bookings). Talking about the OTA sector, he stated that the segment has been evolving and more and more OTAs are now realising the importance of relevant content on their portals. He also spoke about the market trends and the company's plans on adding more revenue streams. Watch the video for more.
