In line with this strategy, the online recharge and mobile wallet app is joining forces with offline service providers.

The company today announced a tie up with books and stationary retailer WHSmith India to enable shopping at the latter's stores. It has similar tie ups with Big Bazaar, Cafe Coffee Day and other players.

In a chat with Techcircle last week, MobiKwik's co-founder Upasana Taku talks about the company's growth plans and why offline merchants are equally important for a mobile wallet company. She also throws light on MobiKwik's plan to turn profitable by 2016-17.
