Exclusive: InstaSafe raises seed funding

InstaSafe, a Bangalore-based software as a service (SaaS) startup that provides private cloud networks for enterprises, has raised seed funding from a bunch of investors, sources close to the development told Techcircle.in.

InstaSafe, which is run by InstaSafe Technologies Pvt Ltd, is expected to use the funds raised to improve its technology platform, augment existing products and expand geographically.

InstaSafe's cloud-based security solutions allow corporate employees to securely access enterprise apps, email and web while they are on the go. InstaSafe website says its solution is a hardware-free offering which could be deployed in minutes with comprehensive reporting.

The venture was founded by Sandip Kumar Panda (CEO) and Deepak Panigrahy (chief product officer). It graduated from the fourth batch of Microsoft Ventures' accelerator programme in 2014.  The startup also received funding from Citrix Innovators' programme earlier this year.

Panda has a decade of experience in sales and marketing and has worked at Select Technologies. Prior to founding InstaSafe, he led sales team of Nevales Networks. He holds an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar and BE (Computer Science) from Biju Patnaik University of Technology.

Panigrahy has worked at security divisions of Motorola Research Labs and Oracle Database Security. Prior to founding InstaSafe, he led the product team of Nevales Networks. He holds an M Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore and BE (Computer Science) from Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
