Lenovo straps new smartphone Vibe S1 with two cameras for 'dual selfies'

Vibe-S1Lenovo has launched the world's first smartphone with two front cameras, as the Chinese company continues to strengthen its portfolio of handsets.

The Vibe S1 is priced at Rs 15,999 in India and will be exclusively sold on Amazon.in.

The phone has an 8 MP primary front camera that focuses on the subject and a 2 MP secondary front camera for greater depth to replicate human binocular vision.

The 13 MP rear camera boasts a phase-detection auto-focus feature that increases focusing speed and a dual-colour flash that optimizes colour tones based on ambient lighting.

The device sports a 2500 mAH battery and is available in two colour options - blue and white.

The Vibe S1 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM. The phone memory can be expanded to 160 GB (32 GB onboard and expandable via microSD cards up to 128 GB).

It has a five-inch full HD display and supports 4G LTE network.

"The Vibe S1 is in line with Lenovo's ideals of combining superior aesthetics with innovative technology that gives optimum value to its customers," said Sudhin Mathur, Director- Smartphones, Lenovo India.

Last month, the company had launched Vibe P1 and the Vibe P1m, which were priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 7,999, respectively.
