Problems for customers always spell good news for entrepreneurs. For finding solutions to problems often translates into lucrative business propositions. The Odd-Even policy announced by Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has prompted entrepreneurs from varied backgrounds to jump at the opportunity and start services, primarily using digital platforms, that will help daily travellers mitigate their commuting woes. A commuter can, now, opt for ride sharing, bike pooling, car pooling and bus aggregation services on days she cannot take his car out on the road. While big players such as Ola and Uber were already toying with the idea of ride sharing in Bangalore, the implementation of the Odd-Even policy in Delhi has seen small-scale players jump into the fray.
