
Angel and seed deals dominate as Bengaluru startups lead funding activity

Bangaluru-based startups received the most number of cheques this week with early-stage ventures raising mostly angel and seed-stage funding.
As many as 16 startups received funds in the week gone by with five of them based out of Bengaluru. Among larger deals, Mumbai's full-stack food delivery company Box8 received Series B investment from Mayfield India and IIFL Seed Ventures.

Private equity firm Zephyr Peacock India led the $6 million funding round in fintech startup MPOWER Financing. Bengaluru-based KredX, an online invoice discounting platform, raised almost the same amount in a Series A round from Sequoia India and Prime Venture.
