In partnership with the US embassy, early-stage entrepreneurship and investment network TiE Global, which is a non-profit, has launched a follow-on to its women entrepreneurship programme. TiE is The Indus Entrepreneurs.

The follow-on funded by the US embassy, called Scale-Up Fellows, will mentor 30 young women from across India to help them scale up their enterprises.

The top three women in this follow-on will be sponsored for a visit to the US, where they will be mentored by a host American organisation on global best practices.
Led by 18 US businesswomen and entrepreneurs and 13 Indian peers, the follow-on will aim to share US business best practices with Indian women entrepreneurs.
The event that saw the launch of the follow-on programme also hosted an “elevator pitch” session for 25 AIRSWEEE mentees.

The original programme to which this follow-on has been launched is called All India Roadshow on Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship. AIRSWEEE says it has empowered 575 women entrepreneurs in over 125 Tier-II and Tier-III cities in 16 states of India.
AIRSWEEE was launched in 2016 by TiE Global in partnership with the US government to unleash value creation among young women in Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India.
