Cybersecurity company McAfee has appointed Sanjay Manohar as the managing director for its India operations, it said in a statement.
In his new role, Manohar will build and lead teams to drive product revenues, increase adoption of cloud-based products, strengthen customer relationships and execute strategies to safeguard McAfee from cyberthreats, the statement added.
He will report directly to Craig Nielsen, McAfee’s vice president for Asia-Pacific.
“Sanjay will work closely with our leadership team to further accelerate our growth in India, which is a strategic market for McAfee globally. He joins us at a time when enterprises are realising the significance of cybersecurity and making it a part of their boardroom discussions,” said Nielsen.
Manohar brings over 25 years of industry experience spanning leadership roles across marketing, sales and channel strategy roles in the APAC region.
Prior to McAfee, he held a seven-year stint at content delivery and cloud services provider Akamai Technologies where he was the regional vice president for the firm’s carrier business in Asia Pacific Japan. He was also the regional head for the company in China, where led a cross-functional team of over 100 employees across five offices.
An MBA by qualification, Manohar has previously worked at Oracle and Dell.
“There is an increasing need today for robust cybersecurity protection for both enterprises and individuals with the fast-evolving threat landscape. I look forward to helping customers address this challenge,” said Manohar in the statement.
