Bengaluru-based information technology major Infosys' cloud-based products subsidiary EdgeVerve announced the launch of robotic process automation (RPA) solution to provide enterprise customers with intelligent automation as a service.
Called AssistEdge Cloud RPA, the automation solution is expected to help enterprises future-proof businesses with speed, scalability and security, the media statement said.
Most enterprises face challenges with extensive involvement in RPA management, which undercuts the focus on process automation, the statement said. AssistEdge RPA will also accelerate the time taken to generate value for their investments in the latest technologies, it added.
EdgeVerve has deployed more than 50,000 bots across business domains. The company's expertise and experience will help enterprises overcome challenges like infrastructure procurement and upfront cost, the statement said.
"The solution enables the right process selection and execution with faster implementation, through immediate provisioning of infrastructure across all cloud vendors. Enterprises will also get access to real-time monitoring of automated processes," EdgeVerve said in the statement.
Last week, Infosys had reported better-than-expected revenue growth for the first quarter ended June 30, 2019 on the back of strong digital revenue growth at 42%. Its revenue grew 2.3% sequentially and 10.6% year on year (YoY) on a consolidated basis, helping the IT major to raise its revenue forecast for the full year to 8.5-10% from 7.5-9.5%.
