ManageEngine adds AI assistant Zia to Analytics Plus

ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management software division of Zoho, has announced the availability of artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for business, dubbed Zia, in Analytics Plus.

Analytics Plus is an on-premise reporting and business intelligence service that helps the user analyse IT data and create insightful reports and dashboards, an official statement said.

Zia is a self-service, conversational AI assistant that interprets questions posed by text or voice and generates visualisations and offers suggestions. It can be trained to understand organisation-specific terminology. 

The US-based company said in the statement that Zia will interpret questions framed in plain English via text or voice to generate visualisations instantly. It will further offer smart suggestions based on keywords used in the search option by the users.  

ManageEngine is a producer of enterprise IT management software, which offers high-end functionality of large network management frameworks at cost-effective prices to enterprises across the world.

“IT managers need access to instant insights that they can continue to refine and drill down into, without relying on database administrators,” Rakesh Jayaprakash, product manager, ManageEngine, said. “Zia makes it possible for non-technical users to analyse data without having to write SQL queries or programs, saving precious time that can be used to focus on improving the quality of IT services offered.”

Apart from Zia, ManageEngine has also rolled out predictive analysis in Analytics Plus. The newly-added feature aims to help network operations centre (NOC) and service desk teams get out of firefighting mode.

With the help of predictive analysis, service desk managers can perform various tasks, including predicting the probability of service outages and volume of incident tickets, monitor technicians’ and asset utilisation in real-time and allocate resources when needed, the statement said.

In April, Zoho had incorporated  Zia into the company’s flagship IT helpdesk solution ServiceDeskPlus.
