R2  Data Labs, the acceleration hub for data innovation at Rolls-Royce, has identified three startups for the first cohort of its startup accelerator programme in Bengaluru. 

The three startups are ClearQuote, PiChain Innovations and Imaginate Technologies, according to a statement issued by Rolls-Royce.

The startups will be given an equity-free grant of £10,000 each and put through a six-month co-innovation programme that will include mentoring and technical support from Rolls-Royce, the statement added.

A jury of Rolls-Royce and ecosystem mentors selected the three winners from 15 shortlisted finalists.

“With the stated mission of pioneering cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet our planet’s vital power needs, Rolls-Royce believes in the disruptive power of digital technologies in shaping the future of our industry. Our India startup accelerator programme is a reinforcement of our faith in the potential of Indian startup minds in creating innovative solutions fundamental to the digital future of the industrial technology sector,” said Kishore Jayaraman, president, Rolls-Royce India & South Asia. 

ClearQuote: A Bengaluru-based company founded in 2018, the company's app claims to help generate instant crash repair estimates based on images/videos of cars. Car owners can upload images of their damaged car to the insurer app (powered by ClearQuote) to get an instant estimate and get their claims processed in minutes.

PiChain Innovations: Bengaluru-based PiChain Innovations was launched in 2018 by Prasanna Padmanabhan and Shubhradeep Nandi. The company claims to have deep domain expertise in business risk that has been translated into machine automation and real-time data analysis of related risks.

Imaginate Technologies: US-based Imaginate Technologies was founded in 2016 by Hemanth Satyanarayana. The company provides augmented and virtual reality services. Its flagship product NuSpace is an enterprise telepresence platform that enables immersive and interactive collaboration across different geographical locations using VR/AR for purposes such as industrial design, support and sales.
