Mumbai-based digital entertainment company Rainshine Entertainment has added three content companies to expand its content portfolio.

Rainshine has acquired stakes in All Things Small and FirstAction to drive growth in the content market, the company said in a statement. It did not specify the financial details of the deal.

The company has also made an internal division to carve out Rainbox Studios. The studio will reportedly focus on developing and producing game shows.

Media company and development platform All Things Small (ATS), co-founded by Supriya Nair, Sidin Vadukut, Gaurav Vaz and Devaiah Bopanna, will reportedly produce high-quality original journalism, documentaries, and narrative non-fiction content in a variety of formats like shows, films and digital series.

Rainshine is currently co-developing three shows with ATS including a biopic, a campus-based project and a docu-drama.

“All of us are passionate about true stories. At ATS, we want to tell them elegantly, profitably and on every conceivable platform,” said Sidin Vadukut, co-founder and chief executive officer, All Things Small.

Bengaluru-based FirstAction, led by Saad Khan and Maaz Khan, is a creative content and film production company. The company aims to build South India’s largest vernacular platform and will reportedly help Ranshine establish its presence in this market.

“Their intent and drive to create high-quality content formidably aligns with our passion, artistic sensibility, and work ethic.,” said Saad Khan, founder and creative director of FirstAction.

Apart from game shows, the newly carved Rainbox Studios will produce fiction content.

Rainbox Studios is founded by media veteran Munnish Puri.

“The teams at All Things Small, FirstAction, and Rainbox Studios have a rich repository of fantastic ideas waiting to be executed, and we couldn't be more excited to collaborate and create many industry-firsts,” said Neeraj Bhargava, chairman and chief executive officer, Rainshine Entertainment.

On its website, Rainshine lists shows like National Award-winning documentary Amoli and stand-up comedy show Vir Das: Abroad Understanding under its portfolio.
