SaaS platform Freshworks to raise more funding

California and Chennai-based SaaS firm Freshworks is in talks with existing investors Sequoia Capital India and Tiger Global Management to lead a fresh funding round at a valuation of $2.5-3 billion.

Besides Sequoia and Tiger, the company is talking to new investors including mutual funds, media reports said.

The fresh round could be a precursor to establishing a valuation before its initial public offering in the US in the coming years.

The discussions are in early stages and the size of the round is also uncertain for now, the reports added.
