Google India ropes in former Star and Disney head Sanjay Gupta as country manager
Google India has appointed former Star and Disney’s head Sanjay Gupta as its country manager and vice president of sales and operations, according to a report by Moneycontrol.
He will succeed Rajan Anandan, who left Google to join Sequoia Capital India as its managing director, the report said.
Prior to Google India, Gupta served as managing director at Star and Disney. He played an important role in increasing the company’s digital footprint with Hotstar. Gupta worked aggressively to get cricket content on the platform.
Practo to sell its data analytics firm Enlightiks to Mango Solutions
Digital healthcare platform Practo is on the final leg to sell its data analytics firm Enlightiks Inc to US-based consulting firm Mango Solutions, the Entrackr reports.
The management of Practo had realised that Enlightiks Inc was not adding anticipated value to its core operations, a source told Entracker.
Practo had acquired analytics startup Enlightik for $13.9 million in 2016.
