San Jose, California-based software as a service platform Whatfix will help Automation Anywhere streamline customer onboarding during trial and post-trial RPA deployments. 

Founded in 2003 by Ankur Kothari, Mihir Shukla, Neeti Mehta and Rushabh Parmani, Automation Anywhere is a developer of robotic process automation (RPA) software. Its product, Automation Anywhere Enterprise (A2019), caters to enterprises looking to deploy a digital workforce composed of software bots that complete business processes end-to-end.

RPA refers to software bots that automate tedious workplace tasks.

San Jose-based Automation Anywhere will leverage Whatfix's contextual, interactive and real-time in-application guidance platform, which will enable its users with in-app easy flows, feature highlights, self-help to improve user familiarity with high-value features, elevate customer experience and drive deeper in-app engagement.

"Organizations today are looking to implement intelligent automation to increase business productivity and lower operating costs,"  said Abhijit Kakhandiki, senior vice president of products and engineering of Automation Anywhere.  

Founded in 2013 by Khadim Batti and Vara Kumar, Whatfix is a digital adoption solutions provider.

Whatfix operates from San Jose, San Francisco, Bangalore, UK and Australia. It recently raised $12.5 million in Series B funding.
