Bengaluru-based information technology firm Infosys has partnered with GEFCO, a French automotive logistics solutions firm, to drive its digital transformation over the next five years.

GEFCO is a multi-modal supply chain and automotive logistics solutions giant. As part of the agreement, Infosys will help transform the firm’s next generation business application management services.

With this partnership, Infosys will leverage its Live Enterprise Suite to help GEFCO evolve into a ‘digital native’ organization.

“Digital innovation in the supply chain sector is key and our new partnership will help strengthen GEFCO’s expertise and bring value to our customers,” Jean-Luc Galzi, CIO, GEFCO, said.

The end objective of the partnership is to help GEFCO create new sustainable sources of competitive advantage and continuously improve value for its customers.

“The partnership will enable new supply chain capabilities to extract and process information in real-time and generate purposeful insights with very low latency to help GEFCO respond intelligently and effectively across the value chain,” the company said in a statement.

The year 2019 witnessed several global enterprises, industries, enter into partnerships with technology firms to push their digital transformation efforts forward.

Infosys was signed on recently by Belgian telecommunications provider Telenet as its preferred IT partner for the next five years. Also, Capgemini won a six-year digital transformation deal from German pharmaceuticals giant Bayer AG. The deal is estimated to be worth over 1 billion Euros.
