Valencia headquartered technology startup Jeff will foray into the Indian market with its app-based laundry, beauty and fitness subscription services.

The omnichannel wellness company, which has a presence in 40 countries, will add 200 franchisee stores by December across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, the company said in a statement.

Its laundry service, Mr Jeff, will offer a monthly subscription to provide on-demand service within 48 hours for metro users, who can pay via cash or card.

It introduced its beauty and fitness services, BeautyJeff and FitJeff, respectively, on its app only last year.

“The typical franchise will recoup its investment within 28 months, with a breakeven in the sixth month and almost making a profit of above Rs 1 lakh from the 12th month. Local franchisees will also receive strong marketing and partner support from Mr Jeff, with royalties and marketing fees starting after the fifth month. With our digital approach and our subscriptions plans, we intend to change the traditional function of the dry-cleaning sector,” Eloi Gómez Cal, CEO of Jeff, said.

The company was established in 2015 by Gómez, Adrián Lorenzo and Rubén Muñoz Trapote and raised $12 million in a Series A round led by All Iron Ventures. The company, which has a network of over 2,000 franchisee stores, offers home delivery of laundry and dry cleaning services in Europe, Latin America and Middle East, apart from growing its presence in Asia.

The company competes with Indian on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning service providers that have seen change in business model and consolidation. It competes with Faridabad-based laundromat service UClean, which acquired Delhi-NCR based peer White Tiger last year, as well as Unitus Seed Fund-backed PickMyLaundry, Noida headquartered DhobiLite and Chennai headquartered Wassup.
