Information technology (IT) services major Wipro said it has signed a multi-year contract with London based Metro Bank to aid the latter with testing and environment management services.
The partnership will leverage the Bengaluru based company’s digital and quality engineering capabilities to drive transformation through automation, service virtualisation and DevSecOps enablement, according to a statement.
“This will help Metro Bank achieve its objectives around cost, pace and quality of operations, which will place it above other high street banks,” the statement said.
Wipro will boost the bank’s digital transformation journey with its marquee offerings, such as IT wellness platform IntelliAssure, intelligent test automation solution Virtual Automation Engineer and enterprise DevSecOps provider Digital Rig, it added.
“We look forward to a successful partnership that delivers value to both organisations and enables us to achieve our goal of improving the quality, velocity, and efficiency of our IT delivery. This directly supports Metro Bank’s strategy to become the UK’s best community bank,” Cheryl McCuaig, chief information officer at Metro Bank, said.
