“This will help Metro Bank achieve its objectives around cost, pace and quality of operations, which will place it above other high street banks,” the statement said.

Wipro will boost the bank’s digital transformation journey with its marquee offerings, such as IT wellness platform IntelliAssure, intelligent test automation solution Virtual Automation Engineer and enterprise DevSecOps provider Digital Rig, it added.

“We look forward to a successful partnership that delivers value to both organisations and enables us to achieve our goal of improving the quality, velocity, and efficiency of our IT delivery. This directly supports Metro Bank’s strategy to become the UK’s best community bank,” Cheryl McCuaig, chief information officer at Metro Bank, said.

Last week, Ahmedabad based consumer goods firm Zydus Wellness signed on information technology services and consultancy firm Accenture to help with its digital transformation journey, while German chemical manufacturing firm Lanxess entered into a long term partnership with IT services firm Infosys to transform its IT infrastructure as well as to build a digital workplace in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, Stockholm based outdoor power products maker Husqvarna Group inked a deal with mid-tier IT services firm Mindtree to accelerate its digital transformation initiatives.
