Gurugram based supply chain services company Delhivery on Wednesday announced that it will open two new technology offices in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
Its other such centres are in Gurugram, Goa and Hyderabad with one international entity in Seattle.
The company also plans to increase its employee size by 150 people and touch 500 employees over the next fiscal. The new hiring is expected to happen across the technology, product and data science functions.
“Our technology stack acted as a significant differentiator during the time, enabling us to answer critical questions such as what essential and non-essential goods could move where, and how," Kapil Bharati, co-founder and chief technology officer – Delhivery, said.
Bharati added that Delhivery looks to tap into the growing talent pool of Bengaluru. A centre in Ahmedabad is its attempt to increase footprint in non-metro cities. The company also plans to continue remote working.
“This is a working model (remote working) that we will continue to emulate in the months to come as well," he added.
The company said that the expansion drive would help it augment its technology and data science capabilities.
Delhivery currently services over 17,500 pin codes across 2,300 cities, and the company said that its technology teams will be allowed to work remotely from any location, including new offices, and shuttle between in-office and remote environments as the country recovers from the pandemic.
