French multinational technology company Atos on Thursday said it has partnered with the Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City (PCSCL) to build an e-governance platform.

PCSCL is a special purpose vehicle of the Maharashtra government and the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to turn Pimpri-Chinchwad into a smart city.

The proposed platform will use SAP S/4HANA as the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which will be integrated into a geographical information system (GIS), as well as business intelligence solutions and digital workflows, a statement said.

The to-be-built GIS will require a door-to-door survey of the city’s properties and a light detection and ranging survey (LIDAR) for better management of assets and calculations of property tax.
