Noida headquartered information technology (IT) services major HCL Technologies has announced a plan to hire 1,000 employees for its campus at MIHAN (Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport) in Nagpur.

The company said it looks forward to hiring both college freshers and experienced working professionals for a range of IT and leadership roles over the next few months, according to a statement.

Spread over 50-acres, HCL Nagpur already employs over 2,000 people. It focuses on engineering and R&D services, application development and infrastructure management services line of business and has been classified as a Platinum campus by the United States Green building council (USGBC).

“In the last four years, our centers in New Vistas locations like Madurai, Lucknow, Nagpur and Vijayawada have nurtured and hired over 15,000 candidates who are now an integral part of HCL Technologies,” Srimathi Shivashankar, Corporate Vice President, HCL Technologies, said in the statement announcing the hiring plan.

HCL recently announced contract wins with companies like Airbus and Finastra, and strong Q3 results. In the quarter that ended December, the company posted a 31% YoY increase in net profit to Rs 3,982 crore and 6.4% YoY jump in revenue to Rs 19,302 crore.
