In an expanded alliance, HCL Technologies on Monday announced its support for RISE with SAP, an offering by the German software maker that helps clients take business-critical elements into the cloud to accelerate digital transformation.

HCL said in a statement that its partnership with SAP will service clients in moving to the cloud SaaS model of RISE with SAP using HCL’s digital and application capabilities as well as client’s existing investments in SAP configuration and extensions.

The adoption of SAP S/4HANA, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with built-in technologies that include AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, is expected to rapidly grow over the next three years, the statement said, citing surveys from the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG) and the German-Speaking User Group (DSAG).

The new partnership opens up opportunities for HCL and SAP to further develop joint go-to-market initiatives to help clients accelerate their cloud transformation journey. All such initiatives will utilize HCL’s capabilities in application and cloud services, including consulting, strategy implementation, architecture planning, roll-out and the management of key technologies.

“Organisations leveraging Rise with SAP can quickly realize the value and agility of a digital core and business platform architecture in the cloud. HCL enhances this journey with its transformation and consulting services for SAP Factory+ offerings that facilitate rapid migrations to SAP S/4HANA, in addition to its modern integration and data architecture services,” Anand Birje, senior corporate vice president and global head digital and analytics, HCL Technologies, said.

HCL has been an SAP partner for more than 25 years and currently has the distinction of being a global strategic services partner, the statement added.
