BlueConch Technologies, the specialized product and platform engineering arm of global digital transformation firm UST, has announced the opening of a new delivery centre in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The centre, a statement said, will complement the local hub of BlueConch in Pune and help Orange County, California headquartered UST meet the surging demand for platform and product engineering services.

"The addition of several new customers to our portfolio this year has led to an increased demand for highly skilled software and hardware engineers to augment our global workforce,” S Ramprasad, President at UST BlueConch Technologies, said.

“The digital, engineering, and technology ecosystem in Ahmedabad and neighbouring areas is rapidly growing and we are eager to build a strong Center of Excellence in Gujarat,” he added.

The new facility, BlueConch added, is located centrally in the city of Ahmedabad and equipped with world-class amenities to provide a convenient and smart workplace experience to all employees. The company said it plans to make more strategic investments in India and abroad to scale its technology and engineering talent base.

“At UST, we are enormously excited about expanding our company's products and platform engineering business to a new location which not only fits our strategic needs but gives us a fresh, new landscape for building on more than 20 years of experience," Alexander Varghese, Chief Operating Officer at UST, said. “This move is a testament to the growth and success our company has experienced since its inception in 1999 and marks a milestone to UST's long history of serving customers and transforming lives across the world.”

Led by Bangalore University alumnus Krishna Sudheendra, UST employs over 26,000 people across 25 countries and offers digital business solutions to Fortune 500 companies across industries.

Meanwhile, its subsidiary BlueConch (acquired as Xpanxion International in 2014 and rebranded in 2020) employs over 1000 technology and product specialists.

The company has so far delivered more than 200 commercial grade products and platforms for customers across domains such as healthcare, hospitality, logistics, retail, fintech, and technology.
