Reliance Industries-owned Network18 Group has signed on London-based Grabyo to improve its news coverage on digital channels.

Under the engagement, a statement said, the media conglomerate is using Grabyo’s cloud-based live video production suite to collaborate on, edit, and distribute high-definition video content on various social and digital platforms at the same time.

Grabyo’s cloud-based platform doesn’t require extensive hardware and can be used directly on a web browser. This has enabled Network18’s team to edit and share broadcast feed clips from any part of the world, allowing them to go fully remote during the pandemic -- without affecting the company’s digital strategy.

Network18 claims to reach more than 100 million digital viewers every month. Meanwhile, the Indian market has over 400 million social media users.

The cloud video platform has streamlined Network18’s video workflows and is also increasing its speed-to-market, helping the company scale its entire production and distribution effort and further grow its digital presence, the statement added.

"We are always looking to innovate and adopt exciting solutions to gain efficiency in our workflows and are excited about partnering with Grabyo and growing the potential of our digital and social channels," Rajesh Sharma, vice president for technology and operations at Network18, said.
