Honeywell Automation India on Thursday said it has been chosen by Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation to convert a facility in Taloja, Maharashtra, into a smart factory.  

Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL), producer of industrial chemicals and fertilizers, has manufacturing facilities in Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, Panipat in Haryana, and Dahej in Gujarat, besides Taloja. 

Honeywell will deliver industrial cybersecurity solutions, more secure remote operations, and a multi-year enabled service maintenance programme with its Honeywell Forge health dashboard, as per a statement.

The solutions help the new client project improve efficiency and productivity of their operations and maintenance, while being protected by the highest level of cybersecurity, the statement said. 

As part of the engagement, Honeywell has also provided DFPCL with managed security services, which will reduce the risk and impact of cyber-related disruptions and enable safer management of key elements of their industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT).  

“It’s our priority to continue offering customized solutions to fulfil our customers’ needs. We are committed to understanding our customers’ pain points in relation to preventive maintenance and the health of the control system. Currently, our focus is on enabling remote operations at DFPCL’s Taloja facility and converting it into a Smart Factory,” Ashish Gaikwad, managing director, Honeywell Automation India, said.
