Dell Technologies has expanded its Cloud IQ portfolio in India to now support Dell EMC PowerEdge servers and PowerSwitch Networking.

Dell’s Cloud IQ is the company’s cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) solution, used to monitor, analyse and troubleshoot Dell EMCs storage systems.

The cloud-based Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) application utilises machine learning and predictive analytics to figure out the issue that could impact business processes.

“The expansion of CloudIQ is a key element in Dell Technologies strategy to provide businesses with an autonomous operations strategy to maximise IT infrastructure efficiency and security for operating infrastructure with ease,” said Srinivas Rao, Senior Director, System Engineering, Dell Technologies.

PowerEdge servers are Dell’s proprietary servers for small businesses, while PowerSwitch networking solutions are built to simplify deployments and management of networking. They also help in facilitating collecting more data and flow from virtualised environments, along with emerging workloads.

“These solutions will enable existing technical staff to focus on higher-value activities, whether it means completing security audits, developing new business apps or responding to or supporting new business opportunities,” added Rao.

The new updates with Dell EMC Cloud IQ are expected to provide customers with a single user interface including all updates and notifications, along with reports and AI/ML based analytics.

The upgraded solution will also monitor data protection in public clouds and provide storage-as-a- service based solutions as part of Dell Technologies Apex Console.  Dell’s Apex is the company’s on-premise storage-as-a-service solution.

Some of the advantages of the solution include elevated IT resources through automated operations that could help augment work of staff. Dell also said that the solution will offer a better security stance with built in monitoring and security solutions from Dell’s portfolio.
