Wipro appoints Infosys veteran Badrinath Srinivasan as MD for Southeast Asia

Wipro has appointed Infosys veteran Badrinath Srinivasan as its new Managing Director for Southeast Asia.   

Southeast Asia is one of the six regions that comprise of Wipro’s APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, India and Africa) markets. Wipro has been operating in Southeast Asia for over a decade, and has made multiple acquisitions in the area, some of which are Capco, Designit and Topcoder.   

Badrinath’s most recent role was as the Asia leader for the financial services and insurance verticals for Infosys, where he served for two decades. At Infosys, Badrinath held roles in sales and consulting in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific markets, along with playing a role in mergers and acquisitions, creating joint ventures as well as establishing partner ecosystems.

“Southeast Asia has been a strategic focus region for Wipro over the years and, even more so now, with the region’s growing demand for comprehensive digital transformation solutions, agility and scale, specialised technology requirements and innovation,” Wipro APMEA CEO S. Bala said in statement. 

Badrinath, in his new role, is expected to focus on large deals in Southeast Asia, along with the usual roles of revenue growth and client relationships.   

An MBA alumus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. Badrinath holds an engineering degree in electronics and communications and will report directly to Bala from Singapore.
