The annual Samsung Unpacked event has concluded, and the firm has introduced the new Samsung Galaxy S23 series as predicted. However, while these three phones were the main attraction, there were a number of interesting supporting acts as well. 

The South Korean technology company has also introduced the Galaxy Book 3 series, which provides Samsung enthusiasts with a variety of new ultrabook possibilities. But without a question, Samsung's new S23 series phones stole the show.

Samsung Galaxy S23 

The Galaxy S23 has many of the same features as the current Samsung Galaxy S22, including a 6.1-inch FHD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and rear cameras. This means that the camera features a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. But there are other upgrades beneath the hood, most notably a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. 

The Samsung Galaxy S23 base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹74,999 while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs ₹79,999.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus 

The Galaxy S23 Plus is the series’ new middle child. It brings a new, cleaner look but has the same bespoke Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor as its smaller sibling. 

Another bonus is a boost to the S23 Plus' base storage, which is now up from 128GB to 256GB. You also get a 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP optically-stabilized 3x optical zoom camera. The front camera is also now 12MP rather than a 40MP affair that let you shoot 10MP 4-in-1- pixel-binned photos.

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost ₹94,999 while the high-end model with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost ₹10,4,999. 

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 

The highlight of Samsung's Unpacked event was the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a new 200MP primary camera and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

It is not a major revamp of its predecessor, but there are minor upgrades, such as a camera system designed for professionals. Samsung unveiled the new ISOCELL HP2 sensor prior to the introduction of the first Samsung smartphone with a 200MP sensor. 

It can also merge 16 pixels into one for an ultimate resolution of 12MP with pixels measuring 2.4m each. Or, it may combine its pixels 4-to-1 to produce a 50MP image with more detail. 

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's base model, which has 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, costs ₹1,24,999. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will also be sold in 512GB and 1TB versions, which will cost ₹13,4999 and ₹15,4999, respectively.

Galaxy Book 3 

Samsung has introduced five new Galaxy Book 3 laptops. These devices consist of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, the Galaxy Book 3 and the Galaxy Book 360. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra stole the show with its 13th-generation Intel Core i9 CPU, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, studio-quality dual microphone, AKG Quad speaker, and more. 

The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is available in 16 inches, the Galaxy Book 3 Pro in 14 and 16 inches, and the Galaxy Book Pro 360 in 16 inches with 5G connection. Samsung announced that the Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Pro 360 will be available in certain regions beginning on February 17, followed by the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra on February 22.

The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra features ultrahigh-performance computing, whilst the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 features a 2-in-1 convertible form factor with S Pen capabilities and the Galaxy Book 3 Pro features a small, lightweight, mobility-focused clamshell design.  

The Galaxy Book 3 series features an improved CPU, GPU, display, and more for ultra-high-speed computing. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra includes the most recent 13th Generation Intel Core i9 CPU with the NVIDIA RTX GeForce 4070 Laptop GPU11. In addition, this is the first time that Samsung's Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is offered on any Galaxy Book.  

One UI 5.1 

Alongside hardware we saw new software announcement as well in the form of One UI 5.1. 

Samsung has made a few changes to its One UI interface, which sits on top of Google's Android 13. It's not a major redesign, but it does have some new features, like an update to the Notes app that makes it easier to edit and share.
