Manish Gaur has joined as the chief information officer (CIO) at Aqualite Industries, an Indian footwear brand. He was earlier working as Information technology (IT) head at consumer goods company Patanjali Ayurved. 

In his new role, Gaur will be responsible for driving innovation and leveraging technology to enhance the company’s manufacturing, supply chain, and customer experience. 

In his six-year stint in Patanjali, Gaur was leading digital transformation deliveries and large enterprise-wide projects at the country and global levels.

Gaur has nearly two-decades of experience working with software, education, knowledge process outsourcing (KPOs), system interrogators, and manufacturing companies, including in the silicon, adhesive, automobiles, cement, glass, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, elevators, and engineering verticals, according to his LinkedIn profile. 

It added that with his wealth of experience in the fast-paced world of fashion and retail, he is poised to take Aqualite Industries to new heights. 

Commenting on his new journey in a statement, Gaur said that he is excited about the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the company's growth and success. “I am looking forward to leveraging technology to improve the manufacturing process, optimize the supply chain, and deliver an exceptional customer experience,” he said.

Prior to Patanjali, Gaur worked with companies such as Thyssenkrupp Elevator India, JK Cement, Dell and Cisco, among others, in various technical and technology leadership roles. 

Gaur has completed bachelor’s degree, computer science from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, a post graduate program in artificial intelligence and machine learning from Purdue University College of Engineering followed by a master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).  

He has also obtained multiple certifications in technology and leadership programmes from prestigious institutions, like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur and Bombay) as well as one from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and Indian School of Business (ISB), and more.
