Industrial engineering firm thyssenkrupp Industries and Valmet have signed a cooperation agreement to distribute and sell process automation systems in the energy sector and process industries across India and other countries. 

Under this agreement, the main focus will be on projects managed by thyssenkrupp, and the initial phase is set to last for eight years. The primary goal of this collaboration is to leverage the combined expertise of both companies to provide control and automation solutions. By doing so, the company aims to establish a strong portfolio of Industrial Automation solutions in the domain of IIoT 4.0.

In addition to collaboration on the Valmet DNA Distributed Control System, the partnership between the two companies extends to other areas. They have plans to work together on technology innovation, develop new business models, and enhance their customer service offerings. This collaborative approach sets the stage for a comprehensive and mutually beneficial relationship between the two companies.

Valmet, on the other hand, is actively seeking to expand its presence in the energy sector through various technologies and partnerships. The collaboration with thyssenkrupp is a significant step for Valmet to bolster its automation business not only in India but also in other countries, explained Varun Jain, Director, India Region, Asia Pacific, Valmet.
