Adani Group, Prisma AI extend partnership to offer AI-based customer services at airports

Visual artificial intelligence (AI) company Prisma AI has extended its partnership with conglomerate Adani Group. Under the partnership, Prisma AI will deliver technology based on the company’s proprietary algorithms to proactively identify incidents such as falls or unusual passenger behaviours at airports. Airport desk persons would receive real-time notifications about travellers to enable swift and efficient assistance.

The initiative is called "Desk of Goodness" system which has been already delivered to six airports including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad. As per Prisma AI, the system has significantly improved passenger assistance and safety in departure and pre-security areas. 

"Prisma AI is proud to expand its partnership with the Adani Group, a visionary leader in the airport sector. Through the 'Desk of Goodness' system, we aim to make travel more inclusive, efficient, and secure, setting new benchmarks for airport experiences,” said Shreeram Iyer, chairman and group CEO, Prisma AI.

Airports in India have started adopting emerging technology solutions for better experience and convenient travel. For instance, in Devember 2022, Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), which is the operator of Kempegowda International Airport, announced the first phase launch of the 'BLR Metaport'. With this launch, BLR Airport's Terminal-2 or T2 becomes "the first terminals in the world that can be experienced on the metaverse", BIAL said in a statement.  

Further, in September, Indian IT services and consulting major Infosys on Wednesday announced the launch of Infosys Cobalt Airline Cloud (ICAC), a cloud offering designed for commercial airlines to help them accelerate their digital transformation journey. Infosys called it “first-of-its-kind industry offering is aimed to revolutionize passenger experiences, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to the airline's sustainability initiatives, more specifically in the net zero journeys for clients.
