Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer at Cohesity, explained that by leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud, Cohesity is joining forces with Snowflake to enable organisations to benefit from their analytics capabilities without moving their data to the cloud for analysis.

“With Cohesity SmartFiles, joint customers can store their data locally and use Snowflake's analytics capabilities while having the flexibility to keep their data on-premises or in the cloud. This integration gives customers more access and choice while adhering to internal policies,” he said.

Cohesity SmartFiles will also enhance the Snowflake Data Cloud by including on-premises repositories and providing secure access to local data records. It also offers a secure platform for consolidating application data, improving storage efficiency, and reducing overall ownership costs for local Snowflake repositories.
