IT management, support, and business communications platform GoTo has teamed up with Intel to integrate its LogMeIn Rescue product with Intel Endpoint Management Assistant (EMA) for Intel vPro-based devices. The Intel vPro platform is an integrated platform with built-in features for performance, security, manageability, and stability. The move makes GoTo the first to offer such a direct integration with Intel, allowing users to tap into Intel EMA capabilities right within Rescue.

What does this mean for IT teams? They can now handle remote support, management, and reporting for Intel vPro-based devices all in one place — Rescue. This eliminates the need to juggle between different applications, providing a faster and easier experience.

The integration is a boost for Rescue’s support for Intel vPro, allowing IT teams to access and support out-of-band devices remotely, even if they're not running the company’s operating system. Previously, managing these devices meant dealing with multiple solutions and workflows. Now, agents can do advanced actions like troubleshooting OS issues or updating firmware directly from the Rescue Technician Console, even if devices are powered off.

Carla Rodriguez, Intel Vice President, sees this collaboration as delivering cutting-edge manageability technologies to support remote workforces and various endpoint devices. Olga Lagunova, Chief Technology Officer at GoTo, emphasizes the simplicity of solving problems from a single solution, while Satish Yadavalli from Wipro praises the integration for simplifying employee support services.

During the Intel Innovation 2023 in September, Intel also made some major announcements including the general availability of its Developer Cloud for users to easily test and deploy their AI and high-performance computing applications and solutions, discloser about the Meteor Lake platform, and details on the next-generation Intel Xeon processors.
