Tech-logistics startup COGOS Technologies has elevated its Vice President of Technology Goutham BV to the post of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

“Thrilled to announce that Goutham Kumar BV has embarked on his new role as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Cogos Technologies Pvt Ltd, all set to take our tech innovations to new heights!” the company said in LikedIn post.

Kumar comes with over 20 years of rich experience, holding a bachelor's degree in computer science from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, Karnataka, and a diploma in computer science from Sandur Polytechnic.

He joined COGOS Technologies in December 2021 as Principal Architect and later served in various key roles including VP of technology and CTO. Previously, he worked with several prominent organisations in important posts that include BMC Software as principal product developer andCaravel Info Systems as Project Leader. Kumar has also worked with Boston Technology Corporation as Programmer/Analyst. 

Apart from appointing Kumar as CTO, the company has also got a new co-Founder, Katta Prasad. Katta joined COGOS last year as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and also into the Board. "We are thrilled to announce Katta Prasad’s well-deserved appointment as Co-Founder," said Prasad Sreeram, CEO and co-founder, COGOS. "His visionary leadership and strategic insights have been instrumental in driving COGOS's growth and positioning us as a frontrunner in the last-mile logistics industry. We are confident that under his continued guidance, COGOS will continue to thrive and innovate in the dynamic landscape of City Logistics."

Speaking on his appointment, Prasad said, “I am deeply honoured to embark on this journey as the Co-Founder of COGOS. With our collective efforts, we aim to redefine standards and spark innovation. COGOS has been at the forefront of integrating technology into intra-city logistics, and we're committed to pushing the boundaries even further.”

COGOS has also recently expanded its operations in Himachal Pradesh and Goa to 25 states and over 450 cities.

The size of the Indian city logistics market is $60 billion in the current year and is expected to register a CAGR of more than 5% during the forecast period.
